Adding Points of Interest (POIs) to your virtual rooms in NestTrail enhances interactivity and engagement, enabling you to showcase additional information, media, or interactive elements within a room. This guide explains how to add POIs and customize their content and appearance to suit your needs.

To begin, navigate to the Virtual Tours section in the side menu and select POIs. From the list of rooms, choose the one where you want to add a POI and click on the "+" button at the top right of the screen. This action will open a pop-up window where you can configure the details of the POI.

In the pop-up window, start by selecting the Style of the POI. NestTrail provides a wide variety of styles to display your POI, including:

Icon: A simple clickable icon to represent the POI.

Callout Text: Text displayed as a callout over the room.

Selection Area: A defined area for interaction.

Embedded Content: Includes options for images, text, HTML, slideshows, videos, links, or 3D objects.

After selecting the style, choose the corresponding content type to create the POI. For example, if you select Embedded Video, you can upload a video file or provide a link. If you prefer, you can leave the content as None, meaning the POI will not be clickable. Once you have set the style and content type, place the POI in the desired position within the room.

For styles like Icon or Callout Text, you can drag the POI to adjust its position and modify properties such as Perspective, Size, Visibility, Z Order, and Scale. For more complex styles like Selection Area or Embedded Content, you can use drag-and-drop controls to shape and position the POI area by adjusting the four corner pointers.

Once the POI is positioned correctly, click Save to finalize its placement in the room. At this stage, the POI becomes part of the room and can be edited or customized further.

To edit a POI, simply click on it to open a small menu above the POI. This menu provides options to move the POI, edit its style and content, duplicate it, or delete it. Clicking the edit icon opens a detailed pop-up with five tabs for customization:

Settings: Change the POI’s style or content type.

Contents: Upload or edit the content and adjust its styling.

Style: Customize the appearance of the POI, such as icons or embedded content.

Tooltip: Add a tooltip text that appears when hovering over the POI.

Schedule: Set specific days and times for the POI to be visible, allowing for dynamic content display.

After making changes, ensure you click Save to apply the updates.
