How to Add Forms to Your Virtual Tour in NestTrail (Main Form / POIs Form)

Adding forms to your virtual tour in NestTrail enables seamless interaction with your audience, whether for collecting contact information, feedback, or other data. Forms can be placed as a main form accessible throughout the tour or as specific Points of Interest (POIs) within individual rooms. Here’s a detailed guide on setting up both types of forms.

Adding a Main Form

To create a main form for your virtual tour, navigate to Virtual Tours -> List Tours from the side menu and click the Edit button for the desired tour. Once in the tour editor, go to the Form tab. This section allows you to customize the form by configuring the following settings:

 

Title: Enter a title for the form to indicate its purpose.

Description: Provide a brief explanation or instructions for the form.

Button: Define the text displayed on the form’s submission button (e.g., "Submit" or "Send").

Reply: Write a message that will appear after the user submits the form.

Send Notification: Enable this option to send an email notification upon form submission. Specify the email address where notifications should be sent.

Colors: Customize the form’s appearance by selecting colors that match your virtual tour’s design.

Fields: Add and configure form fields, such as text inputs, email fields, checkboxes, and more. Specify whether each field is mandatory and define its type.

 

After setting up the form, click Save at the top of the page to save your changes.

Next, activate the form in the tour’s user interface. To do this, navigate to Virtual Tours -> Editor UI from the side menu. Place the form in a suitable location within the tour by selecting the Main Form option from the top-left menu. Adjust its position and style as needed, then click Save at the top-right corner to apply your changes.

 

Adding a POIs Form

In addition to the main form, you can create forms specific to individual rooms as Points of Interest (POIs). To add a POI form, go to Virtual Tours -> POIs from the side menu. Select the room where you want to add the form and click the "+" button in the top-right corner. Choose the POI style and select Form as the content type.

 

Drag the POI icon to position the form within the room. Once positioned, click Save to confirm its placement.

Build the POI form using the same customization options as the main form, including title, description, fields, and more. After completing the setup, click Save to apply your changes.

 

Accessing Collected Data

All data submitted through forms is stored within NestTrail for easy access and management. To view the collected data, navigate to Collected Data -> Forms from the side menu. Here, you can review and export submissions as needed for analysis or follow-up.
