An avatar video is a virtual representation of a person that can be used within a NestTrail tour to guide viewers and provide explanations as they navigate through the space. This feature enhances engagement and adds an interactive element to the tour. Avatar videos can be added at two levels: as a Main Avatar Video, which plays once at the start of the tour, and as a Room Avatar Video, which plays when entering specific rooms.
Adding a Main Avatar Video
The Main Avatar Video is a video that appears once at the beginning of the tour, providing an introduction or overview before users start navigating the space.
To add a Main Avatar Video:
Navigate to Virtual Tours -> List Tours from the side menu.
Click the Edit button next to the tour you want to modify.
Go to the Contents / Avatar Video tab.
Click the Upload Video button to upload your avatar video.
Note: If your avatar video requires transparency, upload both a WEBM and MOV file for broader compatibility across different browsers and devices.
Adding a Room Avatar Video
A Room Avatar Video appears when users enter a specific room within the tour, providing context or specific instructions related to that room.
To add a Room Avatar Video:
Navigate to Virtual Tours -> Rooms from the side menu.
Select the room where you want to add the avatar video and click the Edit button.
Go to the Contents / Avatar Video tab.
Click the Upload Video button to upload your avatar video.
If you want the video to play only once per user session, check the Play Only Once option.
Click Save at the top of the page to apply your changes.
Adjusting the Size and Position of the Avatar Video
Once the avatar video is added, you can modify its size and positioning within the Editor UI to ensure it appears naturally within the tour. This allows you to fine-tune the placement for the best visual effect and user experience.
Viewing the Avatar Video in Action
